We are charging a minimum $5 fee for all classes to discourage no-shows. To register and pay the fee you follow the registration link after the class description.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our classes will be offered on-line using a cloud-based service, WebEx. You will be sent an email containing a link that will allow you to join the online class ten minutes before the session begins. To assure that the class is not interrupted with unwanted noise, we ask that you mute your microphone until you wish to ask a question or make a comment at the end of the class. Since this is the first time we are attempting to hold classes online, we ask for your understanding and goodwill as we undertake this adventure.

Global Warming and the Organic Garden

In this virtual class, learn how global warming and the resulting changes in climate affect organic gardening. Are you ready to deal with longer growing seasons, heavy rainfall followed by periods of drought and the emergence of new pests and diseases? Organic gardening methods can help you face the effects of climate change in your garden. Can widespread application of organic gardening principles affect the climate? Explore how organic gardening, promotion of soil health and greater reliance on local food production can help with the challenges presented by global warming and climate change. Handouts will be emailed for reference after the class. Instructor: Royer Held, Project Grow.
